§ 1 Scope and Provider

  1. These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter “T&Cs”) govern the use of the mobile application “Lila” (hereinafter “App”), operated by Philip Müller, Tobias Kullmann & Hendrik Müller lila GbR, based in Leipzig, Germany (hereinafter “Lila,” “we,” or “us”).
  2. These T&Cs constitute a legally binding agreement between Lila and the users of the App (hereinafter “User” or “you”). By downloading the App and creating an account, you agree to these T&Cs in their current version. Deviating terms from the User will not be recognized unless we have expressly agreed to them in writing.
  3. The App is intended for use by natural persons who are at least 18 years of age and have full legal capacity. By using the App, you warrant that you meet this age requirement. For any purchases made on third-party sites linked from our App, you must comply with the terms and age requirements of that third-party site.
  4. We reserve the right to amend these T&Cs. We will notify you of any changes in text form (e.g., via in-app notification or email) at least 30 days before they take effect. Your consent to the changes will be deemed given if you do not object within this period. We will specifically inform you of this consequence of deemed consent in the notification. In the event of an objection, we reserve the right to terminate the user agreement.
  5. To the extent that the user uploads their own content beyond the mere shopping and interior design functions in order to participate in affiliate revenues (“Creator Program”), the “Special Terms and Conditions for the Creator Program” shall apply in addition to these GTC. The user must agree to these separate terms before publishing content within the scope of the Creator Program for the first time. In the event of any conflicts, the provisions of the Special Terms and Conditions shall prevail.

§ 2 Description of Services

  1. Lila provides a mobile app that serves as an AI-powered interior design and shopping assistant, offering users personalized recommendations and visual inspiration for furniture, lighting, decor, and art (hereinafter “Products”).
  2. The core features of the App include:a. Room Restyling: The ability for registered users to upload a photo of a room. This photo is analyzed using artificial intelligence (AI) to create one or more new, AI-generated image variants of the room in a different style.b. AI Assistant: Interaction with an AI chatbot to ask questions about interior design styles. Based on this, users receive both general interior design advice and specific product recommendations. The assistant analyzes text inputs and optionally uploaded photos to generate contextual answers and suggestions.c. Product Search & Inspiration: Based on the analyses and interactions, the App displays personalized Product recommendations and provides affiliate links that redirect the User to the online shops of our partner companies (hereinafter “Partner Shops”), where the recommended Products can be purchased.
  3. The use of the App in its basic functionality is generally free of charge. However, we reserve the right to limit the use of individual, particularly computationally intensive features (e.g., the number of “Room Restylings” per user per period) (“Usage Limits”). The applicable Usage Limits will be transparently displayed to the user within the App. Lila is financed through affiliate commissions paid by Partner Shops when a User clicks on an affiliate link and subsequently makes a purchase. This compensation does not affect the purchase price for the User. The purchase of a paid subscription may lift these Usage Limits and/or grant access to additional premium features. Such paid services and their terms will be separately disclosed and require the User's explicit consent before a subscription is concluded.
  4. Lila acts solely as an intermediary and recommendation platform. Any contract for the purchase of a Product is concluded exclusively between the User and the respective Partner Shop. Lila is not the seller of the Products and does not become a party to the purchase agreement. The terms and conditions and privacy policies of the respective Partner Shops apply.
  5. Lila does not guarantee the accuracy, availability, price, quality, shipping, or any other aspect of the Products offered in the Partner Shops. All information regarding the Products is provided by the Partner Shops and is displayed without any warranty from us as to its correctness.
  6. Note on AI-Generated Content: The images created by the “Room Restyling” feature are the result of an automated, AI-powered process. These depictions are for inspirational purposes only and may contain inaccuracies, errors, or artifacts. They do not represent an exact or feasible depiction of reality. Lila assumes no liability for the feasibility, correctness, or completeness of the AI-generated suggestions.
  7. We reserve the right to change, expand, restrict, or discontinue the App's functionality at any time. There is no claim to the permanent availability of specific features, especially the free features.

§ 3 Registration and User Account

  1. To use the full functionality of the App, you must register and create a user account.
